Rita does presentations, workshops and keynote speeches at conferences and gatherings. Here's a short list of where she was in 2013 and 2014 and so far in 2015, and some of the other items that she has been working on.
She was VP of education markets at ePals from 2007 through mid-2013.
Encuentro Educativo (also called EduTICa) is co-sponsored by Universidad Icesi and Eduteka for educators from Cali, the third largest city in Colombia. This event kicked off a joint initiative of the mayor of this city of 2.5 million and Eduteka to put personal computers into the classrooms of grades: 4, 5, 8 and 9. Presentation was livestreamed in Spanish.
January-June: Rita worked with the IDEA office in Miami-Dade County Public Schools on a project for teachers of students with disabilities using Promethean interactive whiteboards and formative assessment tools.
April 5: Rita presented session: Parenting 2.0: Here's the Session Your Parents Want to Hear at CoSN conference in Washington, DC.
June: Rita presented Microsoft Innovative Educator sessions on Windows 10 for Broward County Schools (FL) and Park Hill Schools (MO).
June 24: Rita invited to do half-day workshop on Grant Writing for Ed Tech Dreams at METIS, Mississippi Education and Technology Innovation Symposium in Jackson, MIssissippi
June 27: Rita co-presented poster session, Technology in the Spanish-Language Classroom in Denver at the ISTE conference. Also attended affiiate meetings of ISTE representing FSTE.

September 27. Rita invited to lead roundtable sharing research from white paper at EdNET conference in Dallas.

Jan. 3-13: Michigan and Ohio. Rita visited schools who have Chinese exchange students to help the company with improving the pre-exchange experience and the in-USA educational situations. Rita continues to work with this Chinese/American company focused on high school exchanges.
