When Rita taught this as a morning workshop at the TIES-Minnesota conference, participants were asked to bring an idea for a grant on a single page. There was also an optional afternoon session where Rita worked one-on-one with grantwriting teams to help refine their proposals.
Dr. Oates is a highly successful grant-winner - more than $14 million herself and helped her children's middle school with $1.9 million grant, worked as a consultant with others for grants typically of $50K to $250K. She has also been an evaluator on multiple large grants, including several federal grants.
